"Introducing talents project" expert of 2012 Wang Liqun, a senior professor of Imperial College London School of Medicine, visited ASAG

To be a famous professor in lipid nutrition and biochemistry of Imperial College London School of Medicine, Dr. Wang Liqun (Senior Research Fellow) had a ten-day visit to our academy from August 9 to 18 as an "Introducing talents project" expert of 2012. The theme of this visit was grain nutrition and oil processing technology. Professor Wang gave a presentation named “Research concerns on today's dietary lipids and Health” on 13th, August. As an important part of the report professor Wang reviewed the importance of dietary lipids and health, the relationship between lipid consumption mode and health, the reasonable intake of dietary lipid especially n-3 fatty acids, lipid metabolomics and special edible oils etc. and exchanges with the majority of researchers of ASAG. Professor also had an academic exchange with researchers in Grain and Oil Nutrition Group and Oil Chemistry Group of ASAG. Professor Wang put forward many constructive advices on the grain and oil nutrition research and expressed great interesting on cooperation in the field of lipid nutrition. Accompanied by the Researchers of ASAG, Professor Wang also visited Nutrition and Security Studies in CDC of China and First Hospital of Peking University.
