Resumes

Shufeng Cheng, professor, director of grain biotechnology laboratory, special government allowance gainer of the state council, graduated from biochemistry of biology department in Peking University in 1980. Prof. Cheng mainly works on biotechnology, safety of grain storage and food processing. Over 30 years, he has presided and joined dozens of science research programs. In the domain of biotechnology, Prof. Cheng gets achievement in many projects. The development of new anti-tumor drug and the research in solid fermentation for animal auxin production were put on production in 1995 and 1999 respectively. Prof. Cheng gained national patents of the development of drug against lupus erythematosus and the development of highly active cellulase solving the problem of high cost of cellulose substrate in 2008. In the domain of grain storage, Prof. Cheng was the first one proposing the theoretic calculation formula of safe moisture in grain storage by studying safe moisture in grain storage, critical moisture of fungal growth and moisture migration. In the research of prediction of high moisture in grain storage safety, Prof. Cheng established a method of safety prediction for the grain stored at different temperature. In the research of detection of early fungal hazard in grain storage, Prof. Cheng developed a new fast detection technique which has been popularized in a dozen of provinces. Prof. Cheng gained two patents in 2009, one of them was the development of portable device of biohazard detection in grain storage which has been popularized in many provinces, the other one was the study of quality safety detection system in grain storage.

Xiaolin Zhang, professor, group leader, deputy director of grain biotechnology laboratory, works on microbial fermentation and gene engineering, agricultural product conversion and resource development for years. Dr. Zhang is now titled executive director in Chinese Agricultural Biotechnology society, deputy secretary-general in Microbial biology technology branch society, executive director in Biological Safety branch society, executive director in animal micro-ecology branch of China animal husbandry and veterinary association, academic committee in ASAG, postdoctoral co-supervisor. Dr. Zhang directed and participated in more than twenty national and provincial projects, such as special social commonweal research programs of ministry of science and technology, "Research of prevention and control of harmful organisms pollution from wheat flour" as project director during "Eleventh five-year plan" period, sub-subject of the national science and technology support plan "Development of efficient bio-protectant-spinosad in grain storage", sub-subject of National 863 plan major project "Research and development of new genetic engineering veterinary medicine doramectin", capital projects of national agricultural science and technology achievements conversion "Pilot-scale fermentation of pre-coated feeding Enterococcus faecalis technology" and two enterprise crosswise tasks. Dr. Zhang is directing "Twelfth Five-year" national science and technology support plan "Development and demonstration of pesticide in grain storage and agents to degrade mycotoxin", special subject of basic scientific research expenses in public welfare research institutes "Research of fed-batch culture process in spinosad fermentation", national development and reform commission high technology industrialization special program "Industrial project of annual output of 200 tons of new pre-coated probiotic microcapsule" and "National standards for Lactobacillus plantarum as feed additive". Recently, Dr. Zhang has published over forty research papers in domestic or overseas journals, applied for nine invention patents and participated in translating "Molecular nutrition" and writing "Chinese protein feed resource". Otherwise, Dr. Zhang has obtained "The seventh DaBeiNong technology first prize" of Ministry of Science and Technology non-governmental school award.

Xiaorong Zuo,Professor (Senior Engineer), graduated from South China University of Technology in 1982, took part in 6th five to 11th five national technologies R&D program, as a participant, member of expert group and projects leader, took charge of some projects for control and information system engineering for grain processes and storage. Prof. Zuo won some praises from industry management institution.

Chen Zhao, associate professor, focuses on development and utilization of microbial resource. Dr. Zhao's main work is to construct genetic engineering strains using molecular biology method, which enhances the yield of some secondary metabolite used as green pesticide or feed additive. Dr. Zhao gained his ph.D degree of Molecular and Cellular Biology (Direction: Microbiology) in the University of Caen, France in 2010, then he performed post-doctoral works in National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)-University Lyon I, France and Texas A&M University, US. Dr. Zhao participated in numerous programs during the period in oversea, his own research programs were financed by National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA, France), National Agency of Research (ANR, France) and National Institutes of Health (NIH, US), respectively. And Dr. Zhao has published 6 papers in SCI resource journals. He presides a National Natural Science Fundation of China now. The main research topics: 1. Heterologous expression of synthesis gene cluster of actinomycetes secondary metabolites (insecticide in grain storage), construction of genetic engineering strain; 2. Genetic molecular modification of Saccharopolyspora spinosa; 3. Mining and activation of silent gene clusters in actinomycetes, screening of efficient and safe insecticide in grain storage.

Fang Tang, associate professor, born in 1978, was master of The Beijing University of Chemical Technology biological chemistry. Research fields: grain by-product appreciation changes and early detection and warning technique of grain microorganism. Grain by-product value-added transformation of scientific research service: "high activity cellulose fermentation and extraction process optimization", this study has obtained national invention patent. Grain microorganism in early detection and early warning technology, successively presided and participated in the "eleven five" science and technology project, quality inspection industry commonweal research projects, agricultural science and technology achievement transformation project, scientific research and special projects, projects were established during early period of stored-grain microbe establishment of rapid detection method: the hazards of fungal spore counting method and portable storage fungi harm early fast detection instrument, two rapid detection methods are now popularized in 16 provinces. During the development of stored grain biological hazard on-line detecting instrument, is now in the prototype stage. The first systematic study of the grain storage process, grain against fungal growth regularity, grain moisture, temperature, time and fungal initial growth curve, and puts forward the safety storage of the grain storage time and harmful fungi harm processes predicted, for China grain safety to provide technical support. In recent years, Tang published dozens of papers in the foreign core journals, obtained 4 invention patents.
