Grain and Oil Testing Research Group
Missions:
1.Undertake the program management and quality assurance of the Grain and Oil Quality Testing Center of State Administration of Grain
2.Undertake the necessary testing tasks;
3.Undertake standard research and revision for oil products and test methods;
4.Undertake technology research related to the quality safety and testing for grain and oil.
 
Objectives:
1.To establish the vegetable oil characteristics database and identification and recognition technology for oil authenticity;
2.To establish and revise the standards for oil products and test methods;
3.To establish the quality system standards for national food inspection institutions.

1.The establishment of the triglycerides structure and composition database;
2.The implement the quality policy of Grain and Oil Quality Testing Center of State Administration of Grain;
3.Soybean and Camellia seed oil products standards, and national standard testing methods.

Yalin Xue, professor, graduate tutor, is the deputy director of Grain and oil quality testing center; the member of Academic Committee of ASAG. Professional affiliations: the member of SAC/TC270; National laboratory accreditation assessor and the qualification of food inspection agency accreditation assessor; expert, and executive director of oil branch of Chinese Cereals and Oils Association; committee member of "China Oils and Fats" magazine. Professor Xue is committed to the research of grain and oil quality testing techniques and methods development, standards revision, qualification certification for grain inspection agency laboratory and laboratory management.
Over the years professor Xue has been engaged in the research of oilseeds, oil, oilseeds protein, and deep processing product, and the establishments for relevant quality standards. Professor Xue has hosted more than forty items of national and industry standards, and has completed the establishment of nearly twenty items of national oil standards and the standard methods for key indicators of grain and oil quality. She has also completed nearly twenty scientific research projects, including scientific and technological issues of "the tenth five-year plan" and technology support projects of "the eleventh five-year plan", state social welfare special projects, and national science and technology infrastructure projects and ministries projects. She conducted lots of studies in aspects of grain and oil quality, detection techniques and methods. Over the years professor Xue has been engaged in the research on oil and fat, protein and oil deep processing products and the establishment of related quality standards, and has taken on a number of food safety research projects. She is familiar with the regulations and relevant standards of quality supervision and inspection in the process of grain processing. In the recent five years, professor Xue has published more than twenty papers and books, and has won two " second award for Science and Technology Award", one " third award for Science and Technology Award", and one " third award for China Standard Innovation Award "of Chinese Cereals and Oils Association. Professor Xue was awarded the second session of the National Cereals and Oils outstanding scientific and technological workers by Chinese Cereals and Oils Association.
