Bio-fermentation pilot plant test platform
Bio-fermentation pilot plant test platform of ASAG was supported by a special fund of the National Treasury which is an open research and service platform focus on independent innovation in food biotechnology. The platform includes genetic engineering, fermentation engineering, microbiology research and a bio-fermentation pilot production line.
This platform has a 5 tons of bio-fermentation pilot production line which can meet the requirements from small to pilot bio-fermentation and meet the needs of separation, extraction and preparation of pilot production. The platform includes:
1), 15L, 30L, 50L, 100L, 1000L, and 5000L fermentors and can detect or control 14 online parameters, such as pH, DO, tank pressure, temperature, speed, air flow, exhaust O2 and CO2, feedsupplement weighing, and fermentation broth volume etc;
2), Advanced online multi-parameter analyzer and live cell concentration analyzer can detect and analyze several parameters at the same time including nutrients, metabolites (including glucose, lactic acid, ammonium acetate, phosphate, Na +, K +), cell concentration and conductivity of the real-time detection and analysis;
3),Advanced computer control and data processing system can get a variety of indirect parameters of the metabolic flow and engineering characteristics accurately, such as oxygen uptake rate (OUR), carbon dioxide release rates (CER), respiratory quotient (RQ), volumetric oxygen transfer coefficient (KLa), specific growth rate (μ);
4), Complete auxiliary tank and precise feeding system can fully meet the need of the complex fermentation process;
5), Circulating water cooling system can meet the needs of low temperature fermentation;
6), Set of post-processing equipment can meet the need of separation and purification of different bio-fermentation;
7), Matched class 10,000 degree purification workshop, BLS-level biosafety laboratory and large-scale shake flask room can fully meet the need of microbial strain selection and fermentation condition optimization;
The platform is located in the pilot base of the ASAG, the pilot base covers an area of 26,700 square meters surrounding by beautiful environment and matched by the thorough accommodation and catering services. To promote R & D research and application of the traditional fermentation and new technology, the technology resources of platform can be shared by domestic and foreign universities, research institutes and high-tech companies and technical advisory services were provided as well.
